How Colorado paycheck withholding works
Colorado withholding follows DR 1098: annualized wages less the DR 0004 allowance or filing-status default, at 4.40%. The result separately includes the standard 0.44% employee FAMLI share. Private plans, employer-paid shares and local occupational taxes can differ.
Calculation status: partial. State module co-paycheck-2026.1, effective 2026-01-01 through 2026-12-31. Local individual income-tax withholding is not included.
Worked example from this calculator
At $30 per hour for 80 regular biweekly hours, single with a current Form W-4 and no adjustments, the engine estimates $1,905.40 take-home pay from $2,400.00 gross pay.
