What this site is for

Measure Formula turns common measuring and planning tasks into reproducible results. A tool should produce an observable useful answer before asking for an account, and it should show enough of its method for someone to check the result independently.

The current collection includes the board-foot calculator, the board-and-batten layout calculator, and the profit-and-loss statement generator.

Calculation methodology

• Each calculator has a pure calculation engine separated from its interface.
• Inputs are parsed explicitly; unreadable values are reported rather than repaired.
• Rounding occurs for display only unless a page states otherwise.
• Worked examples are generated from the same engine used by the interactive tool.
• Every tool states important assumptions, exclusions and practical limitations.

Formula-level tests cover known examples, boundaries and invariants. Browser tests then exercise the actual public interface in Chromium, Firefox, WebKit and a mobile viewport.

Corrections and maintenance

A calculator is treated as a maintained reference, not an infallible authority. If a formula, assumption or explanation changes, its automated scenarios change with it. Tool-specific limitations remain on the same page as the result so they cannot be separated from the claim they qualify.

The site does not fabricate product tests, professional credentials or customer outcomes. Financial organization is not accounting or tax advice, and material or installation estimates do not replace supplier specifications or applicable codes.
