What is most useful to send

A calculator that returns a wrong number is the most important thing to report, and the most useful report includes the inputs you entered and the result you expected. That is usually enough to reproduce the problem and fix it, and a reproducible arithmetic bug gets fixed quickly.

Assumptions are worth challenging too. Every tool states the assumptions behind its result on its own page, and where those do not match how the work is actually done — a waste factor that is unrealistic, a regional price range that has moved, a step the calculator does not account for — saying so with a source is the fastest way to improve it. Suggestions for calculators that do not exist yet are welcome.

What cannot be answered

Questions about your specific project cannot be answered here. Nobody at Measure Formula has seen your site, your building or your local market, and a calculator is not a substitute for a written quote from a qualified trade or for a licensed inspection. Work involving electrical circuits, gas, structural members or anything requiring a permit needs someone licensed for it in your jurisdiction — the disclaimer sets out where those limits fall.

Link exchanges, guest posts and paid placements are declined. The tools carry no affiliate links, and keeping it that way means not opening the door.

What happens to your message

Mail to that address is forwarded to a personal inbox and read there. It is not added to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add it to. What the site itself does with data is set out on the privacy page.

This is a one-person project, so a reply may take a while. A correction that holds up will be made whether or not there is time to write back about it.
